I had the pleasure of meeting Marley during training camp during my first year of university in Nova Scotia. Little did we both know that this would bloom into an amazing friendship. The Get REAL movement brought us closer together but it brought Marley closer to fulfilling her dream in making people feel accepted and welcomed no matter their sexual preferences and gender. Marley is a millennial in motion and I cannot wait to share with you her story. She is a 6ixfluencer and I encourage everyone to go give her a follow on instagram @marleybowen_

Where do you work?
Executive VP of Get REAL
What do you love about your job/workplace?
I mean, there’s absolutely so many things I love about my job. Definitely the opportunity to be the role model, that I never had, for the kids that I speak to. Such a blessing. I also love being an entrepreneur and seeing my ideas come to life.
Why did you pick Toronto has your new home?
Toronto is literally one of the most motivating cities I’ve ever been in. Being young, drive, and an opportunistic, I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else.
How does Toronto influence your brand/ what you do?
Get REAL is really based on being yourself and embracing differences. Living in one of the most multicultural cities in the world really helps us build that sense of unity, compassion, and understanding for one another. When I step on the subway and see so many different types of people, I think, “this is Get REAL. This is Toronto. And this is Canada”. I couldn’t be more proud to call this place home.
Favourite Food Spot in Toronto
Ah, tough call- Jules Bistro, Dumpling House, or R&D. LOVE Asian cuisine.
