It comes a time where your fresh herbs need to be eaten ASAP. There is no better solution than making a quick and easy pesto sauce.
I am totally addicted to my new Kitchen Aid food processor that I got from my mom for Christmas.
- 1 bunch of parsley
- 1 jalapeno, diced finely (seeds included)
- 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 tbsp of lemon juice
- salt and pepper
- 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
- Prep all ingredients
- Add them to the food processor
- Start it off on purée; slowly start adding the olive oil until smooth
How can you use it?
You are able to freeze the pesto for up to 1 month. I use the pesto on chicken, shrimp, pasta and veggies.
