You ask and you shall receive. These are by far the easiest turkey meatballs I have ever made.
Grocery List
Turkey Meatballs
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp fresh ground black better
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, shredded
- 1 small onion, thinly diced
Vegetable Pasta Sauce
- 1 cup mushrooms, chopped
- 1 jar pussata (crushed tomatoes)
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp ground pepper
- 1 carrot, washed and diced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 zucchini, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
How to make it
- Chop all your ingredients for both the pasta sauce and the meatballs.
- In a mixing bowl, add all the ingredients for the meatballs.
- Incorporate with your hands (the best kitchen tool) the meatballs into the shape of golf balls
- In a cast iron skillet, heat some oil olive. Once hot, start searing your meatballs on each size.
- When those are cooking, get started on your sauce. Sauté garlic and onions in your saucepan. Once caramelized add your carrots, mushrooms, red bell pepper, zucchini.
- Cook down for 15 minutes. Add salt and pepper to taste. Once cooked down add the pussata.
- Once the meatballs are cooked; add them to your pasta sauce. Let them cook in the sauce for 10 minutes.
- Serve your meatballs on top of some zucchini noodles or your favourite grain-free pasta.
